About Bob Bofman Selections
For over twenty years Bob Bofman has moved at the highest levels of the wine and spirits business - both here in the United States and around the world. With ten years spent as the highest volume fine wine salesman in the United States and another ten years spent as the General Manager of Sam’s Wine & Spirits - a store Bob took from a local Chicago phenomenon to the highest grossing single wine store in the world - Bob has nurtured close working relationships with some of the most respected names in the world of wine. Bob Bofman Selections currently works with forty-seven select Bordeaux chateaux and negociant fi rms. These the largest and most prestigious firms to progressive and modern firms representing the younger generation of Bordelaise wine merchants who operate at the cutting edge of the fine wine trade. It is these close relationships that allow us to offer you, our customer, a wide range of options and provide you with all of the products and services that you have come to expect.
The finest examples of these close relationships are the illustrious wines that Bob Bofman Selections has the pleasure of offering our customers - particulary the fine Bordeaux that we carry on an exclusive basis: Haut-Brisson, Montviel, La Graviere, Reignac & Vieux Pourret.
We also have a very special relationship with Vignobles Garcin. Helene Garcin is the proud owner of some of the best properties in Bordeaux including the celebrated Clos l’Eglise in Pomerol, Château Barde-Haut in Saint-Emilion and from Graves Château Haut-Bergey and Château Branon, a small ultra-premium estate in Pessac-Leognan. Vignobles Garcin also produces some of the greatest wines of the new world at Bodega Poesia in Luján de Cuyo, arguably the fi nest sub-region of Mendoza in Argentina. Along with Bodega Poesia’s flagship wine (Poesia), they also craft the Clos des Andes and Pasodoble labels.
Another partnership we are very proud of is that with La Ferme de Rougefort, which is owned by Catherine Pere Verge and represents some of the great names of Pomerol - Le Gay and Montviel, along with the highly sought-after line of wines from Bodega Monteviejo in Argentina, including Monteviejo, Lindaflor, Petite Fleur and Festivo. All these stunning wines are made by Marcelo Pelaritti. The Rougefort portfolio has recently been expanded with the acquisition of Château La Violette in Pomerol. This tiny property is adjacent to the world-renowned Château Le Pin, and the wines of La Violette prove the old adage - location, location, location!
Meyrou Selections USA is another special relationship we are proud of. We met Jean-Christophe Meyrou many years ago when he worked for The Edonia Group. He has since started his own Negociant Company and represents some amazing wines that we feel very strong about. Below is a list of some of the wineries represented by Meyrou Selections USA, many of which have received favorable press in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
